Missions at First Baptist

First Baptist Church of Waterloo, Iowa has been serving our neighbors, community, and world with open hearts and open doors for over 150 years.

American Baptists are a missionary and evangelically-minded people, who:

  • Are committed to fulfilling the Great Commission to make disciples of all nations, including our own;
  • Invite persons to receive and follow Christ;
  • Engage in educational, social and health ministries;
  • Seek justice for all persons; and
  • Provide prayer and financial support to sustain a world-wide mission outreach.

Four times a year, we have special mission offerings

Fall
World Missions – for international projects

Winter
America for Christ – for national ministries

Spring
One Great Hour of Sharing – for ministries who help with national disaster aid

Summer
Retired Ministers and Missionaries Offering – for funding retirement income
